A large and imposing Satsuma earthenware floor vase, the skittle shaped body cleverly potted to resemble a basket with a tied rope handle round the neck, painted throughout in delicate overglaze enamel colours and gilding with roundels of flowers floating like bubbles between brocade bands.

A large basket-weave floor vase featuring the Seven Gods of Good Fortune, of baluster form with applied bamboo handles, painted in a wide range of overglaze enamel colours and gilding with a central frieze showing the Seven Gods of Good Fortune, within brocade borders, with a further border inside the rim, signed in a red seal.

A pair of large basket-weave ground vases, with applied bamboo handles, each painted in a variety of coloured enamels and gilding with a single stand of flowers, including peonies and kiku on each side, the inner rim painted with floral scrolls.

A Satsuma bowl, painted and gilt to the exterior with book, oval, concertina and quatrefoil formed cartouches depicting scenes of sparrow headed figures entertaining an elderly couple, a gathering of six seated gentlemen, and scenes of flowering peony with cherry blossoms, and pavilions in riverside landscapes, all upon a scattered flowerhead ground, the interior delicately painted with six rows of flower clusters swirling upwards towards the rim, gilt seal reading Shizan sei to base.
