ANTIQUE PERSIAN QUM

This Qum rug is an excellent example of fine Persian rug in an excellent condition. Production of Qum rugs began in the early 20th Century in the holy city of Qum, Persia. The rugs are made of a thin pile in cotton and wool and are often used as wall hangings because of their fine quality. Unlike traditional designs, Qum rugs feature small all over designs with a city style featuring curvilinear lines. The primary colors often used are red blue and ivory although other colors are common.
