Pair of Tang Dynasty Lokapala

A pair of Lokapala, each boldly and dramatically modeled, one standing upon a recumbent bull and the other a stag, in a warlike posture bearing an aggressive frown; one arm extended and the other raised; wearing tight-fitting leather style cap and full armour with dragon shoulder-masks and elaborate winged collars, highlighted with traces of pigment.
