A late 18th century glass goldfish bowl with compressed ovoid body and spreading foot.
In the second quarter of 1762 George III’s cabinet-maker, William Vile, supplied two gold-fish bowl stands for Queen Charlotte’s use. On which would have stood similar goldfish bowls such as this example.
